Scope and Topics

Organizations around the world are undergoing radical change with the adoption of digital technologies. Relevant activities in the 21st century are those that generate the most revenue and capture the attention of the majority of governments and the population. For example, organizations focused on logistics, healthcare and sports science have opened the door to adopt concepts such as the internet of things, artificial intelligence, sustainability, and big data management. Industry 5.0 puts humans at the center of the manufacturing process. This means that machines and robots are designed to work alongside humans, rather than replace them. The main characteristics of Industry 5.0 are: Human-centricity, sustainability, resilience, collaboration and customization.

The logistics, sports science, and healthcare industries are all facing a number of challenges in the Industry 5.0 era. Logistics companies are using artificial intelligence and machine learning to automate tasks and improve efficiency. This allows them to be more responsive to changes in customer demand. Sports scientists are collecting and analyzing more data than ever before. This data is used to develop new training methods and to improve the performance of athletes. They are collaborating with experts in other fields, such as engineering and computer science, to develop new technologies that can improve the performance of sport companies. Healthcare providers are using data analytics to identify and address the specific needs of individual patients. This helps patients to improve their health and reduce their risk of disease.

This event offers the opportunity for scientists, teachers, students, professionals from various fields to interact and share successful experiences in the development of knowledge and technology in the context of industry 5.0.

Standard peer review is enhanced by EAI Community Review which allows EAI members to bid to review specific papers. All review assignments are ultimately decided by the responsible Technical Program Committee Members while the Technical Program Committee Chair is responsible for the final acceptance selection. You can learn more about Community Review here.
